Using the Battery Pack
Important!
• Make sure that the Player's power is turned off before attaching or detaching
the AC adapter.
• A battery pack that is installed in the Player does not charge while the Player is
turned on. Turn power off in order to charge the battery pack.
• When not using the battery pack, remove it from the Player.
• Before storing a battery pack, fully discharge it by using it to power Player
operation. At least every six months, charge a stored battery pack and use it
to power the Player.
• The battery pack becomes warm when charging. This is normal and does not
indicate abnormality.
• If the Indicator lamp flashes orange at high speed or does not light orange when
charging, it could mean the battery pack is faulty. See "Troubleshooting" on page
106.
Using the AC adapter with the battery pack
• You can charge the battery pack while it is installed in the Player by
connecting the AC adapter to the Player and turning off Player power.
• The Player is powered by the AC adapter if you turn it on under the
above conditions. The battery pack is not charged while Player power is
turned on.

• The charge time noted here is the time required to bring a fully depleted
battery pack to full charge.
• Cold conditions and the condition of the battery pack may cause the
required charge time to be longer.

• The DVD continuous play time is a reference value indicating maximum play
time with normal display brightness at 20°C.
• Play time may be shorter due to disc type, temperature, battery condition,
and speaker volume.
