The microphone unit must be connected to the device in order to use the Bluetooth
functions. A mobile phone that supports Bluetooth

After a successful search, the entry CarBT appears for the device on the display
of the mobile phone.
Select this entry to connect and when the subsequent password request
appears, enter the password 1234 for the device. You may have to confi rm
the connection again.
After a successful pairing, CONN OK appears briefl y on the device display

During a telephone call you will hear the caller via the speaker connected to the
device.
For optimal transmission of your voice, place the microphone unit close to
you.
Attach the microphone unit, for example, to the dashboard. You can use the
supplied adhesive strip to do this. If you use this option, you must clean any
dust and grease from the surface beforehand. The adhesive strip can be
used for securing on almost all smooth surfaces.
NOTE
Do not mount the microphone unit close to any speakers as this may
adversely aff ect the voice quality.
When an incoming call is received, you will hear the call signal via the speakers
attached to the device and via your mobile telephone. The call number is shown
on the device's display.
