The following table will help to identify and rectify minor faults:
Possible cause
The ignition is not switched
on.
The fuse is defective.
The volume is set to minimum. Increase the volume.
The cables are not connected
correctly.
The sound is turned off .
There is already a CD in the
device.
The CD has been inserted
the wrong way up.
The CD is dirty or defective.
The temperature in the
vehicle is too high.
Condensation on the laser
lens
There is a fault with the
device.
The control panel is not
installed correctly.
Remedy
Switch the ignition on by turning
the key.
Replace the fuse

Remove the CD.
Insert the CD with the label side up.
Clean the CD or insert a diff erent CD.
Allow the vehicle to air out until the
temperature has dropped back down
to the operational temperature.
Switch the device off for a few
hours and then try it again.
Press the RESET button
Check that the control panel is
installed correctly.
