Bit 1
ON
The DIP switch of the TDU is located on the back of TDU. Only after you open the rear door
and remove the TDU, you can find bit 1, bit 2, and ON/OFF signs. You can set both bit 1 and
bit 2 to ON or OFF.
Except from removing the TDU, you can also remove the fan tray assembly in the cabinet to
set DIP switches as follows:

3.18 TES
3.18.1 Functions
The TES provides various working powers and communication transferences for the TEU.
The power supply provided includes +5 V DC, –5 V DC and 75 V AC ringing current to
ensure the normal operations of the TEU and the built-in transmission of the BTS. The TES
can communicate with the TEU and the TMU. It is a bridge for the TEU to report messages to
the TMU.
The TES has the following functions:

In the cabinet group, except for the basic cabinet in the basic cabinet

group, bit 1 and bit 2 of the extension cabinets in the basic cabinet
group and cabinets in the extension cabinet group are all set as ON
and ON respectively.
In the combined cabinets, bit 1 and bit 2 of extension cabinets are set

as ON and ON respectively.
Set bit 1 and bit 2 of the DIP switch both as OFF, and the indicator near the DIP switch is
constant green.
Set bit 1 and bit 2 of the DIP switch both as ON, the indicator near the DIP switch shall
be constant off.
One TES can provide the power supply and communication transference to at most two
TEUs.
Providing DC power supply for the TEU, including +5 V DC and –5 V DC.
Realizing the communication between the TMU and the TEU.
Providing ringing current to the TEU. The ringing signals are a type of 75 V AC at 25 Hz
sinusoidal wave AC signals.
