Firmware and File System

Two system software files must be downloaded in every new display unit; the firmware
(FW.dfu) and file system (FS.bin). The two files are stored in a flash memory in each unit.
Both files can be downloaded from EBL Firmware Manager which is opened via the menu in
EBLWin.
The EBL Firmware Manager program is installed separately and is available in software
versions ≥ V2.8.0.
The procedures below describes the EBL Firmware manager version 1.2.3.

Versions

The firmware and file system software versions are shown in the service menu in the display
unit.
All units connected to the same RS485 bus must have the same firmware version and file
system version e.g. V2.0.x and V2.0.x respectively. X indicates only a small correction and
is not required to be the same. It is highly recommended to have the same versions in all the
5054 units in the system.
9.2

Display unit 5054 Driver

A driver is required to download the firmware and the file system software into your PC. If
the driver is missing when downloading firmware, the following fault message will be shown:
The display unit driver DU5054 V3.0.6 is available for Win7, Win8, Win8.1 and Win10 and
can be obtained from Brooks Australia.
Installation procedures for display unit's driver in Windows 10 PC:
1. Unzip the driver software and select windows version.
2. Double click on "dpinst_amd64" exe file for 64 bit machine, the following will display.
