Installation and Wiring

Up to 1200 metre communication cable (RS485) can be used.

J1 Reset

J4 Used to set the unit type and address
J3 Used to connect the built-in end-of-line resistor (primary terminal) in last unit
J7 Used to connect the built-in end-of-line resistor (secondary terminal, for redundant
connection)
Note: "J3" or "J7" must only be shunted if the unit is the last unit on the RS485 bus.
J5 Primary terminal block to connect to FDCIE or next unit
J6 Secondary terminal block, is used for redundant connection of communication and
power supply, when this is supported by the FDCIE (new 5012 in G3).
Note: In the 4556 for FT128 and 5010 in FT1020G3, the redundant connection is not available.
The redundant path can be used only in the new 5012 main board for G3 (when released).
