CONNECTIONS
EXTERNAL BOILER
General Notes
Radius of curves of pipes higher than 50mm and without
constrictions or narrowings.
Cover pipes with insulating material to avoid heat
dispersion and avoid burns in case if accidental contact.
Central boiler connection (traditional)
See M_65606
Steam inlet
For this type of connection, take a 3/4" steel gas pipe from
the top of the central steam conduit and fit it 1m from the
machine and to its end fit a ball valve so as to isolate the
machine from the plant. Connect the machine with a
copper tube (Øint. 16mm), or with a Teflon hose coated
with steel suitable for the steam. Verify the steam
working pressure of the machine with the pressure
supplied by the central generator (see "Technical
section"/CE label), if necessary install a pressure reducer
(see table "Pressure circuit").
Return outlet
On the side of the machine install a inverted bucket steam
trap of 1/2" GAS with filter and below this, assemble the
check valve to avoid counter-pressure to the trap.
For this type of connection, take a 1/2" steel gas pipe from
the top of the central steam conduit and fit it 1 mt. from
the machine. To its end, fit a ball valve so as to isolate the
machine from the plant; connect the machine with a
copper tube (Øint. 12mm), or with a Teflon hose coated
with steel suitable for the steam.
COMPRESSED AIR
The machine needs to be fed with clean compressed air,
without condensation and oil in accordance with ISO
8573-1:2010 3.4.3 regulations (minimum filtration for
particle size 5μm, pressure dew point 3°C, residual oil
content 1mg/m
) or 3.7.3 (minimum filtration for particle
3
size 5μm, water particle concentration 0,5g/m
oil content 1mg/m
). Verify the steam working pressure
3
of the machine with the pressure supplied by the
central compressor (see "Technical section"/CE label),
adjust the pressure by turning the knob and check the
displayed pressure on the gauge.
Fit a rilsan or zinc-plated 1/4" gas pipe to within 1m of the
machine and assemble a three-way ball tap or a sliding
tap on its end.
This 3-way ball valve serves to feed the machine (position
) or to turn off the supply (position
1=ON=OK
by discharging the remaining air through the silencer. In
case of maintenance there you can operate safely by
turning the air ball valve to the 0=STOP position.
Connect the machine with a pipe in rilsan, (int. 6mm)
resistant up to a pressure of at least 2MPa.
ELECTRICAL
Prepare an electrical line dimensioned as indicated
on the "Technical Section".
Remove the panels to reach the electrical panel.
Insert the cable in the holder and block it, then
connect with the clamps to the electrical current.
Before first testing the machine, check that none of
the electrical connectors have worked loose during
transport.
After connection to the electricity supply, check the
rotation direction of the motors (fan).
If the direction is wrong, invert the connection of two
of the three phases supply wires. Replace all the
panels and protection devices.
Before use read carefully the "Safety warnings".
You can view the video by going to the website.
For commands, see "Technical section-General
information".
Proceed as follows:
a) Turn on the general electrical supply switch (see
"Installation-Connections-Electrical").
b) Open the tap fitted on the steam/return outlet pipe
(see "Installation-Connections-External boiler").
c) Open the tap fitted on the compressed air feed
(see "Installation-Connections-Compressed air").
d) Turn on the general switch of the machine, press
the button RESET (the red light "POWER"
switches ON); wait a few minutes to allow the
machine to warm up before proceeding with the
pressing.
Proceed as follows:
1. Check on the PLC (see "Console") the settings
of the finishing cycle and the status of the
functions/ exclusions and select the required

ironing cycle by pressing on the appropriate
sign.
Short cycle (lightweight fabrics)
Long cycle (heavy fabrics)
Special cycle, the back press doesn't work
(shirts: slim fit, joke cutted, with box pleat, short)
2. Place the shirt to finish on the former and set the
neck.
3. Press the pedal: the neck-lock paddle will close
and the rear paddle is put into place.
)
0=OFF=STOP
4. Holding well stretched downward the side lower
extremities of the garment and press again the
pedal: the rear paddle will close and stretch, the
side internal paddles for bust stretching will be
pre-tensioned (for exclusion see "Console"), now
will start the suction inside the dummy and the
sleeve clamps put in place for their use.
5. Pull the shirt to remove any wrinkles; the suction
will firmly fix the garment.
6. Only for Long-sleeve mode: now you can adjust,
if required, the neck-lock paddle: press and
keep pressed the pedal to open the neck-lock
paddle, release the pedal to close it.
7. Proceed to place the right
Long-sleeve: set the cuff then press the button
on the clamp; the clamp will open and will fix the
cuff.
Short-sleeves (if equipped): set the sleeve and
press the pedal, the clamp will close and will fix
the sleeve; you can adjust the sleeve fixing:
press the button on the clamp of the sleeve you
are fixing to open the clamp and press the pedal
