Mode Level Description and Usage
57 Optional SIM notification to open-system host.
ON: 9900 reports SIM to open-system host as Sense Key/Sense code.
OFF: 9900 does not send SIM to open-system host.
SIM will be reported as B/C300. EC=D002 will be logged in SSB.log.
Set host mode 04 and System option MODE 56,57 for Sequent.
Microcode level: 01-10-00-00/10 and higher.
111 Optional LUN security option.
ON: DKC checks all command for LUN security.
OFF: DKC does not check all command for LUN security.
161 Optional Suppression of high speed micro-program exchange for CHT.
ON: 9900 does not perform high speed micro-program for CHT. New micro-program is also written into
flash memory on the CHT.
OFF: 9900 does perform high speed micro-program for CHT. Only the microprocessor code is loaded.
Either a PS OFF/ON or a dummy replace of the CHT board will be required for the subsequent loadingof
flash memory.
Microcode level: 01-11-xx and higher.
185 Mandatory Solaris + SUN Cluster 3.0 or SDS4.2.1.
ON: Mandatory setting when SUN Cluster 3.0 or SDS4.2.1 is connected.
OFF: SUN Cluster 3.0 or SDS4.2.1 should never be connected with this setting.
Micro-code level: 01-15-39-00/0x and higher.
186 Mandatory VERITAS Database Editions/Advanced Cluster.
ON: Mandatory setting when VERITAS Database Editions/Advanced Cluster is connected.
OFF: VERITAS Database Editions/Advanced Cluster should never be connected with this setting.
Microcode level: 01-17-94-00/10 and higher.
198 Mandatory Tru64 5.1a connection.
ON: Mandatory setting when Tru64 5.1a is connected.
OFF: Tru64 5.1a should never be connected with this setting.

206 Mandatory An inhibit option regarding Q-Err expansion bit.
ON: DKC inhibits AIX Q-Err expansion bit.
OFF: DKC does not inhibit AIX Q-Err expansion bit.

213 Mandatory AIX + HACMP
ON: Mandatory setting when AIX + HACMP is connected.
OFF: AIX + HACMP should never be connected with this setting.
Microcode level: 01-17-94-00/06 and higher.
247 Mandatory Tru64 (Recognition of LUN). Micro-program has been modified to change Vendor ID and Product ID as
response of Inquiry command with system option MODE 247 for Tru64 connection as shown below.
Do not set MODE 247=ON if the subsystem is already connected to Tru64 with old microcode.
Set MODE 247=ON if the subsystem is to be newly connected toTru64 with 01-18-92-00/00 and later.
Note: The function of MODE 247 is suppressed when MODE 198 =ON.
ON: Mandatory setting when Tru64 is connected.
OFF: Tru64 should never be connected with this setting.
