3-12. Pin Boards
3-13. The 4085A can be equipped with up to 48 pin boards, each having o. n e set of
m easurement pins-SENSE, FORCE, and GUARD. Refer to paragraph
function of each pin. .connection between the ports and m easurement pins
by the relays on the pin boards, as was shown earlier in Figure 3-5. 'The pin boards are
identical and each has sixteen relays. Figure 3-7 shows the relay circuit configuration.
Each relay is assigned a unique number (e.g., K30) for failure isolation with the
DIAG NOSTICS program. If a relay failure is detected by the DIAGN OSTICS program, the
relay number and the pin board number will appear on the controller'S display. See

for a complete discussion on the DIAG NOSTICS program . Figure 3-8 shows
