Shutting Off the Engine
CAUTION
Children or bystanders may be injured if they
move or attempt to operate the machine while
it is unattended.
Always remove the ignition key and engage
the parking brake when leaving the machine
unattended, even if just for a few minutes.
Important:
Make sure that the fuel-shutoff valve
is closed before transporting or storing the
machine, as fuel leakage may occur. Engage
the parking brake before transporting. Remove
the key as the fuel pump may run and cause the
battery to lose charge.
1. Disengage the PTO.
2. Move speed-control lever to the N
position.
3. Engage the parking brake.
4. Place the throttle in the middle position.
5. Allow the engine to run for a minimum of 15
seconds, then turn the ignition switch to the O
position to shut off the engine.
6. Remove the key to prevent children or other
unauthorized persons from starting the engine.

The throttle control regulates the engine speed as
measured in rpm (revolutions per minute). Place
the throttle control in the F
performance. Always operate in the full throttle
position when mowing.
CAUTION
Machine can spin very rapidly. You may lose
control of machine and cause personal injury
or damage to machine.
• Use caution when making turns.
• Slow the machine down before making
sharp turns.
