LOUDNESS switch (A-X4 only)
At low volumes the tone of sound appears to change. This
is not due to any change in the sound itself, but to the
ear's different sensitivity to sound at low volumes, Press
this switch in (= ) to compensate for this when listening
at low volumes.
LOUDNESS control (A-X3 only)
At low volumes the low end of the sound spectrum ap-
pears attenuated due to the ear's different sensitivity to
sound at low volumes. This continuously variable poten-
tiometer control compensates for this. Turn it clockwise
until you get the desired tone when you are listening at
low volumes. To defeat the loudness control effect, turn
it fully counterclockwise to OFF.
BASS control (A-X3 only)
Turn clockwise to boost bass response, counterclockwise
to decrease bass response.
