Controls

Note: Refer to your engine operator's manual for complete
control information.
Steering Wheel
The steering wheel (Figure 3) controls the angle of the
smoothing rollers, which in turn steer the unit. The amount
the wheel can be turned is limited, so the turning circle of the
greens roller is relatively large.
To move forward or back simply turn the steering wheel to
suit the direction you are aiming for. As the direction changes
at the end of every run, you will need to practice with the
greens roller to become accustomed to the steering. If you
want to move forward while moving to the right, turn the
steering wheel counterclockwise, if you want to move forward
while moving to the left you must turn the steering wheel
clockwise.
Motion Pedals
The two, foot operated, motion pedals (Figure 3), found on
either side of the steering wheel column, control the motion
of the drive roller. The pedals are connected, so they cannot
both be pressed down at the same time; you can press only
one pedal at a time. If you press down on the right pedal you
will move to the right, and if you press down on the left pedal
you will move to the left. The further you press a particular
pedal, the faster your speed will be in that direction.
Lifting Bar
The lifting bar (Figure 3) is stored on the tow bar bracket
behind the operators seat. It is used to create enough leverage
force for the operator to raise the unit onto the transport
wheels making the unit ready for towing.
Tow Bar
The tow bar (Figure 3) is found behind the operators seat. It is
linked to the lifting arm mechanism via two lifting bars so that
when you are lowering the wheels into the towing position,
G019903
the tow bar is automatically lowered into the down position.
Seat Adjustment
The seat can be moved forward or back to adjust for different
height operators. Simply pull the seat adjustment lever (Figure
3) at the front left of the seat to the left and slide the seat
forward or back to suit, then release the lever.
Hour Meter
The hour meter (Figure 3) indicates the total hours of
machine operation.
