Function

The cabling and air filter subrack, installed in the service subrack using mounting brackets,
implements subrack-level dust proof and cabling management functions. The air filter can be
replaced separately.

1.1.5 ESD Jack

The ESD wrist strap is used to prevent electrostatic discharge from damaging the equipment.
One end of the ESD wrist strap must be connected to the ESD jack on the subrack.
Wear an ESD wrist strap when installing the service subrack. Insert one end of the ESD wrist
strap into the ESD jack (labeled with ESD), as shown in

1.1.6 Grounding

This topic describes the grounding principle and the ground point of the service subrack.
Connect the ground cable properly to protect the device against lightning and interference.
The power input end of the subrack has a noise filter. The central ground of the noise filter is
connected to the subrack and is called the subrack shell ground, that is, the protection ground.
Ground the subrack shell securely so that the faradic electricity and leaking electricity can flow
to the ground, thereby improving protection against electromagnetic interference.
Use a ground cable to connect the ground point of the subrack shell to the ground bar of the
telecommunications room or to the ground directly. It is recommended that the ground resistance
of the telecommunications room be less than 0.1 ohms. Refer to local standards to ground the
subrack.
