Changing the Tuning Steps
The main unit permits two kinds of tuning
steps to be set up. As the tuning step varies
from one region to another, switch the
tuning step to match the region in which
the unit is used.
AM Band
The AM band can be set at either 9 kHz or
10 kHz (the initial setting is 9 kHz}. Turn the
vehicle ignition to ON while pressing @ of
button [11] to switch between 9 kHz and
10 kHz.
FM Band
The FM band can be set at either 100 kHz or
50 kHz (the initia! setting is 100 kHz}. Turn
the vehicle ignition to ON while pressing ©
of button [11] to switches between 100 kHz
and 50 kHz.
+ Carrying out seek tuning when the FM
band is set at 50 kHz may cause the
tuning to stop just before the broadcast
station. Should this occur, perform the
tuning again using either manual or seek
tuning.
Function Switching
Button [10] has two functions. It switches
FM monaural, BSM, etc. ON and OFF, and it
also serves as the preset button for the FM1
band. Press button [12] to switch the
function as désired.
Functions ON ([29] lit)
To use the buttons in bank [10] with
functions such as FM monaural and BSM,
set functions ON.
Functions OFF {[29] off)
Leave the function OFF when using button
[10] as the preset button for the FM1 band.
Listening to the Radio
1.Press button
[3] or [19] to switch the
source to the tuner.
2.Press button
[14] to select the band. The
band changes each time the button is
pressed as follows:
FM1 — FM2 — AM
3.Select a station using manual tuning or
seek tuning.
3-1. Pressing button @ of bank [10] for 2
seconds or more switches between
seek and manual tuning alternately.
When manual tuning is selected,
"MANU" [30] lights.
3-2. Tune by pressing the <4 or P® side
of button [17]. (When a stereo
station is tuned in, "CD" [23] lights.)

While setting functions OFF, switching
between seek and manual tuning
cannot be performed. Press button [12]
to turn functions ON.
