New PRISMAsync System Software V8.4 Software Features
The latest PRISMAsync version (system software V8.4) has the following
features:
WARNING
PRISMAsync System Software V8.3 or later requires a licensed SAM Key to
enter Service Mode. See
Mode Login on PRISMAsync Servers
Print Server is upgraded and a Licensed SAM Key is not available, proper
service will be impaired without the ability to enter Service Mode.
Note: The features below are available as standard with varioPRINT 6000
TITAN Series devices with a serial number 20551180 or later. Current devices
can be upgraded to system software V8.4.

New Windows 10 LTSC OS – Microsoft support is extended to 2029 (an
additional 3 years).
•
JMF Secure PDL URLs Support – The PRISMAsync Print server
supports JMF files that contain secure PDL URLs (https//). This
functionality is mostly used by print providers that use file servers that only
support secure file downloads, or prefer secure file downloads.

Login Settings Terminology Alignment – The login settings across
different platforms now have standardized names. Missing login settings
are also included in the configuration reports.

Additional Service Capabilities for Service Operators – Service
operators may be allowed access to more service functions as compared
to previous releases. By default, the service operator role now has access
to maintenance tasks, configuration settings, installation tasks and
connectivity settings. The system administrator can disable access to
these areas, if desired.
