Cause
The command you entered does not
exist or is not in the pathname you
specified.
The diskette drive or hard-disk drive
controller detected an uncorrectable
read error.
The hard-disk drive or the associated
controller is defective.
The diskette or hard-disk drive can-
not read the data.
One or more SIMMs or DIMMs may
be faulty or improperly seated.
A cable may be loose, or the system
configuration information may not
match the hardware configuration.
A cable may be loose, or the diskette
may be faulty.
The diskette drive controller may be
faulty.
No diskette is in the drive. The opera-
tion requires a diskette in the drive
before it can continue.
Action
Make sure you have spelled the command cor-
rectly, placed spaces in the proper location, and
used the correct pathname.

Run the ScanDisk utility in the Microsoft Win-
dows 95 operating system or the chkdsk utility in
MS-DOS to check the file structure of the diskette
or hard-disk drive. See your operating system doc-
umentation for more information.
If you are using another operating system, run the
appropriate utility to check the file structure of the
diskette or hard-disk drive. See your operating sys-
tem documentation.
