To collect the current system hardware diagnostics information that may be
needed by Dell Support personnel, append the --dset command option to the
diagnostics --collect command as shown in this example:
administrator@mydr4000 > diagnostics --collect --dset
Collecting diagnostics...

NOTE:
The Dell System E-Support Tool (DSET) lets you collect hardware, storage,
and operating system information from the Dell DR4000 hardware. This information
is consolidated into a single System Configuration Report that can be used for
troubleshooting or inventory collection of a system. As part of the troubleshooting
process, you may be asked to provide a DSET log when you contact Dell Support.
To collect all of the current system information (including -- dset) that may
be needed during any inventory collection or troubleshooting, append the
--all command option to the diagnostics --collect command as shown in this
example:
administrator@mydr4000 > diagnostics --collect --all
Collecting diagnostics...done.
Diagnostics file mydr4000_2011-11-13_09-39-51.lzip created.
--delete [--name <name>, --all]
To delete a specific existing diagnostics log file by name (using the --name
command option), enter the following command string at the system prompt
as shown in this example:
administrator@mydr4000 > diagnostics --delete --name
diags_2011-11-16_16-33-12.lzip
Diagnostics delete: Successful
To delete all of the diagnostics files on a DR4000 system, append the --all
command option to the diagnostics --delete command as shown in this
example:
administrator@mydr4000 > diagnostics --delete --all
Diagnostics delete: Successful
