To initialize the NVRAM that resides on the Dell DR4000 hardware appliance
on which the DR4000 system software is installed, enter the following
command string at the system prompt:
CAUTION:
Carefully consider before attempting to use the --reinit_nvram
command. This command should only be used under the direction of Dell Support
because it permanently erases all data stored on the NVRAM in the Dell DR4000
hardware appliance. This command is only to be used when replacing the NVRAM
in your appliance. Contact Dell Support and seek assistance before using this
command.

--reinit_nvram

To reconfigure the network interface for a DR4000 system, enter the

--disk [--make_standby [slot num], --clear_foreign]

To create a standby disk for a DR4000 system, enter the following command
string at the system prompt:
administrator@mydr4000 > maintenance --disk
--make_standby 3
The --make_standby [slot num] command option changes the state of a
physical disk (make this disk standby). The slot number (0-11) that is
designated identifies the physical disk to set as the hot-swap spare.
