KEY OPERATOR PROGRAMS
IMAGE MEMORY PRINT SELECT
SETTING
This program is used to select the conditions for
including a copy of part of the first page of the
transmitted document on transaction reports.
Selections are [PRINT OUT ALL REPORT], [PRINT
OUT ERROR REPORT ONLY], and [NO PRINTED
REPORT]. This program is used in combination with
the "TRANSACTION REPORT PRINT SELECT
SETTING", and is not effective if transaction reports
are set to never print out.
REMOTE RECEPTION NUMBER
SETTING
(only when an extension phone is connected)
Fax reception can be activated from an extension
phone connected to the machine by entering a 1-digit
number and pressing [
This number is called the remote reception number,
and you can set it to any number from "0" to "9".
EXTERNAL TELEPHONE SETTING
(only when an extension phone is connected)
Enable this setting when an extension phone is
connected to the machine. If this setting is not
enabled, it will not be possible to use an extension
phone connected to the machine to manually receive
faxes or place/receive phone calls.

PBX SETTING

(Not available in UK)
This program is used to have faxes routed to the
outside line by default when the unit is connected to a
private branch exchange. By default, this program is
disabled.
To activate the program, touch the PBX
CONNECTION checkbox to make a checkmark
appear, and then select the method for connecting to
an outsidel ine by touching the "FLASH" key or the "ID"
key.
If you connect to the outside line by making a register
call, select "FLASH". If you connect to the outside line
by dialing a number, select "ID". If you select "ID",
enter the number that is dialed to connect to the
outside line (maximum of 3 digits). The number is
entered by touching the entry boxes for each of the
digits and using the [ , ] keys to enter the
appropriate digit in each box. Be sure to enter the
number from the box on the left. Any digit from 0 to 9
can be entered in the left box, and digits 0 to 9 and "-"
can be entered in the central and right boxes. If your
external line number is two digits, enter "-" in the right
box, and if your external line number is one digit, enter
"-" in the central and right boxes.
When PBX CONNECTION is enabled, the "R" key
appears in the base screen of fax mode (p.7). This key
can be touched to switch to fax transmission inside
your PBX. The "R" key also appears in the screens for
100
] twice on the phone's keypad.
"STORING ONE-TOUCH DIAL KEYS (p.67) and the
"Set the telephone number for data forwarding" key
operator program (p.104). If the number you are
storing in either of these screens is inside your PBX,
touch the "R" key before entering the number to have
the fax transmission automatically routed to the PBX
when the number is dialed.
The "R" key is not available in Belgium and
Note
the Netherlands.

FAX SEND SETTINGS

The fax transmission settings allow you to adjust
certain parameters for sending faxes to better suit your
needs.
The fax send settings are as follows:

AUTO REDUCTION SENDING SETTING

This program is used to have transmitted documents
automatically reduced to match the size of the other
machine's printing paper. When this program is
disabled, documents are sent in their original size, and
because the size is not adjusted to match the size of
the printing paper, part of the received document may
be cut off.
PRINTING PAGE NUMBER AT
RECEIVER
Enable this setting to have page numbers appear at
the top of fax pages that you transmit.
DATE/OWN NUMBER PRINT POSITION
SETTING
This setting lets you select the position (inside or
outside the original image) of the sender's name and
number that are printed at the top of each fax page you
send. Select [OUTSIDE THE ORIGINAL IMAGE] or
[INSIDE THE ORIGINAL IMAGE].
