Remove a nddiscard anypackaging cardboard thatmaybepresent b etweenthe
upperhandle a ndthe lowerhandle.
1. Pivotthe upperhandle upward until it snapsinto place.SeeFigure 1.

2. Tighten the handknobs, w hicharelocatedonboththe left andrightsidesof
the handle.
ControlCableZ-Fitting
Unwrapthe control c ablefrom aroundthe engine androuteit upthe left sideofthe
handle.
1. Tomakeit easier to attachthe Z-fitting,temporarilyremove the left sideof
the bladecontrol a sshowninFigure 2.
2. Hook the Zendofthe brake cableinto the control f rom the insideto outside.
SeeFigure 2.
3. Reattach the left sideof the bladecontrol.
Thecable must berouted properly to avoid contactwith all sharpedges
andhot surfaces. S uchcontactsdamagethe cableand renderthe controls
inoperative.
1. Press t he studinsidethe snapfitting intothe holefoundon the left sideof
the upperhandle,asshownin Figure 3.
2. Push the snapfitting down onthe handleto secure it into place.
