Tape
Carefully grasp a corner of the protective
shipping film with your fingers and slowly
peel it from the appliance surface. Do not
use any sharp items to remove the film.
Removeall of the film before using the
appliance for the first time.
Toassureno damageisdoneto the finishof the

from packagingtapeon newappliances isan
application of a household liquiddishwashing
detergent. Applywitha softclothandallowtosoak

Sealed Burner Assemblies
Turn all controls OFF before removing the
burner parts.
The burner grates, caps and burner
heads can be lifted off, making them
easy to clean.
_CAUTION: Do not operate the burner
without oil burner ports in place.
Electrode
Whenone burner isturned to LITE,all
the burnersspark.Donot attempt to
disassemble or cleanaround any
burner whileanother burner ison.An
electricshockmay result,which could
cause you to knockover hot cookware.
After cleaning, make sure the
notch in the burner head is
positioned toward the
electrode. Rotate the burner
head around the burner base
until it is level and securely
seated.
NOTE:Before removing the
burner caps and heads,
remember their size and location.
Replacethem in the same
location after cleaning.
The burner heads and burner
basesare labeled A, B and C to
aid reassembty.

Burner Cups
Liftoff when cool.Todean theburner caps,
wash in hot, soapy water and rinsewith clean
water.Youmay scour with a plasticscouring
pad to removeburned-onfood particles.
Burner Heads
Theslitsin the burner headsof _lourcooktop
must be kept cleanat all timesfor an even,
unhamperedflame.
Youshould cleanthe surface burners
routinely,especiallyafter bad spillovers,
which could clog these openings.Lift off
when cool.
Tocleanthe burner heads, wash in hot,
soapy water and rinsewith cleanwater.
To remove burned-on food, soakthe burner
headsin a solution of mild liquid detergent
and hot water for 20-50 minutes.Formore
stubborn stains,usea toothbrush. Use a
small sewing needleor paper clipto remove
any clogs in the slits.
Electrodes
Thissmall metalrod produces the sparkand
mustbe kept cleanand dry to properlyignite
the gas.

orscrub pad.
After Cleaning
Beforeputting the burner cops and heads
back, shake out excess water and then dry
them thoroughly by setting in a warm oven for
50 minutes.Checkto makesurethe electrodes
remainseateddown in burnerhead.
Replacement
Theburner heads andburner b ases are
labeled A,B andC toaidreassembly.
Replace theburner h eads onthebases
matchingthe letters.Replace the caps on the
heads.Makesurethat the capsand headsare
replacedinthe correctlocation.Thereisone
small (A), two medium (B)andone large(C)
head and cap.If the capsor headsare not
replacedinthe correctlocations,burnersmay
not igniteor performproperly.
