    The water filter is for use only with municipally treated tap water Pre-Use Cleaning or well water that is regularly tested for contaminants. Wash the brew basket, brew basket insert, carafe, and carafe lid in hot, soapy water and rinse with hot water. Do not use abrasive cleansers or scouring pads.
