Use the compatible remote to change the remote setting

and then press VCR on the VCR's remote.
Auto Plav
This feature allows the VCR to automatically start playing
wh en yo u i n s e rt a ta pe wi th th e s a fe ty ta b re mo v e d . In the
PREFERENCES
menu, press 2 to switch between ON or OFF.

Select OFF if you do nof want a tape with its safety tab
removed to start playing automatically.
Auto TVIVCR
This feature controls whether the TV^/CR switch changes
a u tom a t i call y t o the V C R m o d e . Pr e s s 3 to s wit c h b e tw een
O N an d OF F.

Select ON if you want the VCR to switch to the VCR
m od e whe n th e V C R is tu r n e d o n o r a c a s s e t t e is
inserted. This only applies if you connect the ANT. lN
and OUT TO TV jacks of your VCR to your TV and
watch your VCR on channel 3 or 4 of your TV.

mode. This is useful if you watch your VCR on the TV's
vi d eo i np u t a n d yo u d o n 't wa n t y o u r a n t e n n a / c a b le
signal interrupted by the VCR. Refer to the Connections
se ct ion. t owa rd th e b a c k o f th e m a n u a l.
Auto Play
For a tape to be able to start playing
automatically, it must have the
safety tab removed. All rented
movies and purchased movies
should have this tab removed.
Auto TV/VCR
Pressing TV.VCR will still switch
between the VCR and TV mode.
VCR mode: VCR indicator in the
display panel lights.
TV mode: VCR indicator turns off.
