Picture Search Options
The most basic way to search during playback is using the
F ORW AR D o r R EV E RS E b u t to n o n t h e r em o te c o n tr o l. Th i s

Forward and Reverse Search

during picture search. Search works well for tapes
re c o r d e d at t h e S P or S L P sp e e d .
1. Press FORWARD to search forward or REVERSE to
search in reverse.
2. Press FORWARD or REVERSE again or press PLAY to
return to normal playback.
Slow Motion

1. Du r i n g p l ayb ack , pr e ss PA U SE a n d th e n F O RWARD o r
REVERSE to begin slow-motion playback.
2. Press FORWARD to increase or REVERSE to decrease
th e s p e e d of t h e se ar c h .
3. Use TRACKING up or down to remove any streaks
fr o m t h e pi ctu re .
5. Press PLAY to return to normal playback. The VCR
s wi tche s au tomati c a lly fr o m sl o w- m o tio n p la y b a c k t o
stop after a few minutes.
Frame Advance
Frame advance lets you view recorded action one frame
a ft er an o th e r dur in g p l a yb a ck . Fr a m e a d v a n c e wo rk s we ll
for tapes recorded at the SP or SLP speed.
