Depress the console's keypad buttons
in the following sequence: 1, 2, 3, 4,
5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 0, * and #.

Depress the console's feature buttons

After the last button in the sequence
is depressed, depress any console
b u t t o n t o i n i t i a t e t h e d i s p l a y t e s t . T h e
d i s p l a y c a n b e s u s p e n d e d b y
depressing any key on the console
and resumed in the same manner.

Remove and reinsert handset assem-
bly to terminate test, or wait 30 se-

REMOVE HANDSET is displayed.
INSERT HANDSET is displayed while
handset is removed. After handset is
reinserted, console returns to normal
o p e r a t i o n .
Recall dial tone is returned.

IS NOT OBTAINED
I f p r o p e r v e r i f i c a t i o n i s n o t o b t a i n e d o r
busy tone is returned at any time, the
keypad buttons or console buttons
were depressed out of sequence, the
console is defective, or P I M D circuit
i s d e f e c t i v e . T o i s o l a t e t h e f a i l u r e , r e t r y
test to verify that the buttons were not
depressed out of sequence.
I f p r o p e r v e r i f i c a i i o n i s n o t o b t a i n e d o r
busy tone is returned again, replace
a s s o c i a t e d P I M D P C B t o v e r i f y
whether the P I M D circuit or the con-
sole is defective. If proper verificaiion
is obtained, replace the associa?ed
P C B . I f p r o p e r v e r i f i c a t i o n i s n o t
obiained or busy tone is returned
again, replace the console.
