RS-485 Cameras
For cameras equipped with RS-485 communication feature, this will lower signal loss and extend the distance as video
signal and data are transmitted separately.
Connect the video output of the camera (or camera site equipment) to the Through I/O connector on the Loop-Through
Board in the Camera Control Cage (MXCONT).
Connect RS-485 cable between camera and Data connector on the RS485 Data Board of the Camera Control Cage
(MXCONT).
Note: If you use cables assembled from locally procured materials, it is important that only high quality, data grade cable,
suitable for RS-485 interface "shielded 4-wire twisted pair cable, BELDEN 9406 or equivalent, is used.
Low grade cable will result in unstable operation of the system.
