Troubleshooting

Check List
When the ETERNUS DX cannot be Connected via a Network Service
Check the points that are shown below. If none of these resolve the problem, contact your maintenance en-
gineer.
Is the ETERNUS DX turned off?
To switch the Master CM, perform one of the following procedures.
Using the FUNCTION button to switch the Master CM

Push down the FUNCTION button twice within three seconds during maintenance to switch the Master
CM to another controller.
Using ETERNUS Web GUI to switch the Master CM

If the IP address for the Slave CM is specified, access to the Slave CM IP address via ETERNUS Web GUI to
switch the Master CM is performed.
Have any network devices (such as LAN switch or router) failed? Are the network device settings invalid?
Are the environment settings for the network service invalid?
Is the IP address incorrect?
Are the settings for the ETERNUS DX LAN ports (firewall) invalid?
If the problem is not resolved, follow the procedure below to restore the default values for the ETERNUS DX
network environment settings and the firewall settings.
Note that the settings (network environment settings and firewall settings) for all of the LAN ports are
initialized after the following procedure is performed.

Remove the flange cover of the ETERNUS DX.
