2.6 Powering On the Radio

Procedure Steps

Press and hold ON button.
Your radio performs a self-check and registration routine.

After successful registration, your radio is in service.
Your radio powers on without visible and audible notification if Covert Mode is activated.

2.7 Unlocking Your Radio

Your radio may be locked at power up. To unlock it after powering on, enter the code at the prompt. Your radio
enters the default home display.
The unlock code is originally set to 0000. Your service provider may change this number before you
receive your radio.

Description
Single Control Head — Indicates on Master Control Head that Slave Control Head is
switched off.
Link Error — Indicates on Master Control Head that Slave Control Head is unavailable as
a result of error, not powered off.
Key Press Token — In Dual Control Head operation, indicates by blinking that key press
token is reserved by one of the Control Heads.
Keys Locked — Indicates that keys are locked.
