    Features and Benefits 3.1 IP Videoconferencing 3.1.1 Point-to-Point Conferencing After registering with H.323 gatekeeper (GK) and SIP servers, the TP3106-70 can call remote sites using their IP addresses, numbers, or uniform resource identifiers (URIs). 3.1.2 Multipoint Conferencing The TP3106-70 enables H.323- and SIP-compliant videoconferencing devices to join the same conference.

    The conference initiated by any user can be a point-to-point or multipoint conference. Joining a Conference The TP3106-70 can be scheduled to join a conference on the SMC. When the schedule is made, a user can find the conference entry on the touch panel. If the conference is ongoing, the user can join it at the touch of a button.

    The generated volume must exceed the voice activation threshold for a site or screen to be broadcast. Requesting and Releasing Chair Control Rights In a multipoint conference where the TP3106-70 is used, two roles exist: the chair site and the non-chair site. The conference chair site has more conference controls available than other sites.

A user can select any conference entry in the history to initiate the conference again. 3.1.7.3 Network Recording If network recording is enabled, multipoint conferences the TP3106-70 joins can be automatically recorded from the beginning.
