Ironing with the non-stick sole plate

A non-stick sole plate is located in the
storage compartment at the base of the
tower. This can be easily clipped onto
the iron.

Danger of burning! The sole
plate gets very hot when the iron is
switched on. Avoid any direct
contact with the sole plate while it is
hot.
^ Place the point of the iron in the
non-stick sole plate first.
^ Pull back the tab at the rear of the
non-stick sole plate, hold it still, then
push the iron into the sole plate.
^ Release the tab and it will engage at
the back of the iron.
^ Wait approx. one minute before
ironing so that the non-stick sole
plate can reach the set ironing
temperature.
The non-stick sole plate allows you to
iron sequins, beading and printing
without needing to turn the garment
inside out.

Furthermore, it helps to avoid, or at
least reduce, shiny patches on dark
clothing.
Always test first on an inconspicuous
part of the garment.

Removing the non-stick sole plate

non-stick sole plate and lift out the
iron.

The non-stick sole plate will be
hot after use.
Avoid any direct contact with it.
Touch the handle of the iron only.
Store the non-stick sole plate in the
storage compartment at the base of the
tower only after it has cooled down.
