c) SCAN TEST
This test mode is used for checking document scanning section.
1) Press [SETl + [MENU]. (over 1sec.)
(Refer to 6-3-(l))
l: INITIAL SET ?
2) Press [MENU] twice or just press [3],
3) Press [SET1.
4) Press [COPY] to complete.
A shading signal waveform is memorized then, goes to
next test mode "MODEM TEST".

d) MODEM TEST
This test mode is used for checking or measuring out~ut signals
generated by the modem.
1) Press [SETl + [MENU]. (over 1sec.)
(Refer to 6-3-(l))
I: INITIAL SET ?
2) Press [MENU] 3-times or just press [4].
4: MODEM TEST ?
3) Press [SET].
* Press [STARTl to call for the next signal.
9600 BPS (0)
* Press [COPY] to call for the previous signal.
SIGNAL ORDER :
9600 BPS (0) ~ 7200 BPS (0) # 4800 BPS (0) 2400BPS + 300BPS (0) 1
~ 21OOHZ ~ 1100Hz PB8 NO SIGNAL RETURN TO 9600 BPS (0)
The signals of 9600, 7200, 4800, 2400 and 300 BPS can be changed its carrier frequency
and pattern as shown below.
Press [Rx. MODE] to change its pattern at each stage.

(4:1 ) : 1650/1850Hz alternately (13.2 ms/3.3ms)
Press [SPEAKER]. * MONITOR SPEAKER is activated.
* Press number key when display shows "PB8", DTMF signal corresponding to the
number key is generated.
4) Press [STOP] to finish.
