Can't get an Audio CD (CD music) to work:
• Make sure that the CD audio cable is plugged into both sound card and the
CD-ROM drive.
• If you are running Windows® 95/98, make sure you have Multimedia CD player
and Volume Controls installed.
• Make sure that the Windows® 95/98 Volume Control 'CD audio' is active, not
muted, and set to an audible level.
• Confirm that the speakers are functional. Check all speaker cables.
• If you have headphones, plug them into the headphone jack on the front of the
CD-ROM drive and adjust the volume wheel. If you hear sound, yet no sound is
coming from the speakers, verify that the CD audio cable is correctly connected
to your sound card. If no sound comes from the headphones, make sure there is
a CD audio disc in the drive and that Windows® 'CD Player' is running.
CD-ROM installs and is recognized by Windows®95/98, but is
performing slower than expected:
• Make sure that DMA is enabled (see Section 4).
• Confirm that "Supplemental Cache Size" is set to "LARGE" and Read-Ahead
caching is set to "Quad-Speed or Higher" (see section 4).

Note: Ultra DMA is automatically enabled if your system supports UDMA.
