Kenwood Technologies Limited Warranty
Kenwood Technologies warrants your Kenwood CD-ROM drive (the "Drive") against any
defect in materials and workmanship, under normal use in the USA, for a period of one (1)
year from the date of purchase. In the event the Drive is found to be defective within the
warranty period, Kenwood Technologies will, at its option, either repair or replace the defec-
tive Drive at its cost. Kenwood Technologies makes no other express warranties with regard
to your Drive. This warranty is extended only to the original purchaser.
To obtain warranty service, you must first contact Kenwood Technologies by one of the
following, and please include or have available, your name, address, phone number,
product description, and a brief description of the problem(s) you are experiencing
with our product:

Kenwood Technologies' Tech Support department will attempt to diagnose and correct your
problem by telephone. If such efforts fail and your Drive continues to not function properly,
you will be asked to obtain an RMA# and send the product back to Kenwood Technologies
for repair or replacement. A purchase receipt or other proof of date of original purchase will
be required before warranty service is rendered.
This warranty is void if a) the Drive is operated or stored under use and maintenance conditions other
than those set forth in the documentation accompanying the Drive; b) if the Drive is repaired, modified or
altered, unless such repair, modification or alteration is expressly authorized in writing by Kenwood
Technologies; c) if the Drive is subject to acts of God, accident, misuse, abuse, negligence, commercial
use, lighting strike, electrical fault, improper packaging or other accident; d) if the Drive is installed
improperly; or e) if the serial number of the Drive has been altered, is defaced or is missing.
This warranty is valid only in the United States.
REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT AS PROVIDED UNDER THIS WARRANTY IS THE EXCLUSIVE REMEDY
OF THE CONSUMER. EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ANY IMPLIED
WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ON THE DRIVE IS
LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS WARRANTY. Some states do not allow limitations
on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
KENWOOD TECHNOLOGIES WILL NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, BE LIABLE FOR DIRECT,
INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES SUCH AS, BUT NOT LIMITED TO,
DAMAGE OR LOSS OF PROPERTY OR EQUIPMENT, LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, COST OF
REPLACEMENT GOODS, OR EXPENSE OR INCONVENIENCE CAUSED BY SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS.
WITH REGARD TO THE DRIVE, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL KENWOOD BE LIABLE FOR ANY
SUM GREATER THAN THE PURCHASE PRICE ORIGINALLY PAID FOR THE DRIVE. Some States do not
allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not
apply to you.This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary
from state to state.
