This page shows how to enter text for:

Program titles for timer recording (+pages 24 and 25)
Program titles (*page 32)

Play list titles (*page 30)

Disc titles (+page 34)
You can enter up to:
l
64 characters (DVD-RAM)
040 characters for a disc title (DVD-R)
044 characters for a program title (DVD-R)
Preparation
Release protection (cartridge +page 11, program +page 32, disc
+page 34) before proceeding.

After the titling screen appears
Press [A, V, 4, b] to sel
character and press [ENTER].
Title field: shows the text you have entered

Repeat step 1 to enter other characters.

The title is entered and the screen disappears.

You can also finish entering the title by selecting "SET" and
pressing [ENTER].

To erase a character
@ Press [A, V, 4, F] to select the character you want to
erase in the title field.
@ Press [I I].
You can also erase characters by selecting "ERASE" and press-
ing [ENTER].
@The full title is shown in the Properties screen (+page 30 and 32),
but if you enter a long title, only part of it is shown in the program
list or play list screen.
