Root CA certificate error
Cause
802.1X/EAP+WEP or WPA/WPA2+802.1X/EAP is selected on the Security
screen, but a root CA certificate is not set.
Remedy
Confirm the following:
Whether the encryption and authentication method is set correctly. Change
the encryption and authentication method if necessary. (See "Selecting the
Encryption and Authentication Method," on p. 2-10.)
Whether the root CA certificate is installed. (See "If EAP-TTLS or PEAP is set
as the EAP type," on p. 2-20.) If it is not installed, refer to "Installing a Root CA
Certificate," on p. 2-13 to install the root CA certificate.
Set the user name.
Cause
802.1X/EAP+WEP or WPA/WPA2+802.1X/EAP is selected on the Security
screen, but a user name is not set.
Remedy
Confirm the following:
Whether the encryption and authentication method is set correctly. Change
the encryption and authentication method if necessary. (See "Selecting the
Encryption and Authentication Method," on p. 2-10.)
Whether the correct user name is set. (See "If EAP-TTLS or PEAP is set as
the EAP type," on p. 2-20.)
WLAN card certificate error
Cause
EAP-TLS is set as the EAP type, but a wireless LAN card certificate is not set.
Remedy
Confirm the following:
Whether the EAP type settings are correct. (See "If EAP-TLS is set as the
EAP type," on p. 2-25.) If you need to set an EAP type other than EAP-TLS,
select the appropriate EAP type on the EAP Type screen. (See "If EAP-TTLS
or PEAP is set as the EAP type," on p. 2-20.)
Whether the wireless LAN card certificate is installed. (See "If EAP-TLS is set
as the EAP type," on p. 2-25.) If it is not installed, refer to "Installing a Wireless
LAN Card Certificate," on p. 2-16 to install a wireless LAN card certificate.
