Network Connection and Printing Troubleshooting
When performing user authentication with MS-CHAPv2, authentication failed
because the authentication server responded with notification that dialing in is
not allowed.
Confirm the following:
Whether the account and policy settings of the authentication server are
correct. If dialing in is not allowed, allow it.
Whether the user name is correct. (See "If EAP-TTLS or PEAP is set as the
EAP type," on p. 2-20.)
When performing user authentication with MS-CHAPv2, authentication failed
because the authentication server responded with notification that the user
name or password is incorrect.
Confirm the following:
Whether the account exists on the authentication server. If the account does
not exist, create it.
Whether the user name and the 802.1X password are correct. (See "If
EAP-TTLS or PEAP is set as the EAP type," on p. 2-20.)
GTC was selected as the inner authentication protocol when the EAP type of
the authentication server is set to EAP-TTLS.
Confirm the following:
Whether the selected inner authentication protocol is correct. If necessary,
change the inner authentication protocol to MS-CHAPv2 or PAP. (See "If
EAP-TTLS or PEAP is set as the EAP type," on p. 2-20.)
The EAP type settings on the authentication server side. If necessary, change
the EAP type to PEAP.
