Important: Do not operate in reverse with the
attachment in the down (operating) position or the
attachment could be severely damaged.

Ignition Switch

The ignition switch (Figure
engine, has 3 positions: Off, Run, and Start. Rotate the key
clockwise to the Start position to engage the starter motor.
Release the key when the engine starts. The key will move
automatically to the On position. To shut the engine off,
rotate the key counterclockwise to the Off position.

Choke Control
To start a cold engine, close the carburetor choke by moving
the choke control (Figure
the engine starts, regulate the choke to keep the engine
running smoothly. As soon as possible, open the choke
by moving it down to the Open position. A warm engine
requires little or no choking.
Throttle Control
The throttle control lever
the throttle linkage to the carburetor. The control has 2
positions: Slow and Fast. The engine speed can be varied
between the 2 settings.
Note: The engine cannot be stopped by the throttle control.
Lift Lever
To raise the attachment, pull the lift lever
lower the attachment, push the lever forward. For the
position, move the lever into the detent position. When the
desired position is attained, release the lever and it will return
to neutral.

Note: The machine has a double-acting lift cylinder. You can
apply down pressure to the attachment for certain operating
conditions.
Parking Brake
To engage the parking brake
parking-brake lever. To disengage it, push the lever forward.
Note: You may have to rotate the traction pedal slowly
forward and backward to release the parking brake.
Hour Meter
The hour meter

whenever you rotate the key switch to the O

to lock the seat into position.
