Quidway Eudemon 200 Firewall
Caution:
The shielding fingers on the front panel of interface module achieve special electromagnetic shielding
effect for the whole Eudemon200 firewall. Please ensure their integrity when uninstalling or replacing
an interface module and never damage them.
If you do not want to install a new interface module after removing the old one, install a blank filter
panel to keep off the dust and ensure the adequate ventilation of the Eudemon200 firewall.
Before installing the interface modules, please read "Chapter 2 Installation
Preparations" carefully.
I. Installation tools
ESD-preventive wrist strap
Phillips screwdriver P1-100MM or the power head of it can be D76-2X5X60
II. Remove Interface Module
Step 1: Place the Eudemon200 with the front panel forward.
Step 2: Remove the cables connected to the interface module.
Step 3: Loosen the captive screws at both sides of the interface module.
Step 4: Pull the ejector levers at both sides of the interface module outward, pull the
interface module out of the slot along the guides until disengaging it totally from the slot.
III. Install Interface Module
Step 1: Place the Eudemon200 with the front panel forward.
Step 2: Align the remote edge of the interface module with the slot edge, push it into
the slot, pull the ejector levers inward until it presses against the interface module panel
(the angles thus formed between the interface module panel and the levers are the
minimum angles).
Step 3: Fix the interface module in the chassis by fastening the captive screws.
Repeat these steps to install all the other interface modules.

7.3 Troubleshooting

The interface modules available for Eudemon200 provide the LEDs on their panels so
that the users can determine whether the installation of an interface module is correct
by viewing the LED state.
