GFK-2571N
Cause
A configured network port
on the PROFINET device is
no longer present.
SFP configured for a port on
the PNC001 module is not
physically present.
A PROFINET Supervisor has
taken control of a
PROFINET device's network
port, for which the
PROFINET Controller is
currently configured and to
which it is connected.
An unsupported (non-
Ethernet) SFP is physically
connected to a PNC001
port.
An invalid (non-functional)
SFP is physically connected
to a PNC001 port.
A configured PROFINET
device that was previously
missing has just been re-
connected.
A configured PROFINET
submodule that was
previously reported lost has
just been added to the
device.
A configured PROFINET
submodule that was
previously controlled by a
PROFINET IO Supervisor
has just been released.
An SFP port on the PNC001
module has been
configured to be empty, but
an SFP is present.

Chapter 5. Diagnostics
Recommended
Correction
Repair or replace the missing or
malfunctioning network port on the
device.
Insert SFP into port of PNC001 to
match configuration stored to the
PNC001 or remove the SFP from PME
configuration.
If this is unexpected operation,
investigate reason for Supervisor
taking control.
The installed SFP is not supported,
replace with supported SFP
The installed SFP is invalid, replace
with a supported SFP
None.
Note: In an MRP ring with a large
number of clients, storing a
configuration that causes all clients to
reconfigure (for example, changing
the Domain Name) may generate a
large number of Loss/Addition of
Device faults. This is expected
behavior and all devices should
automatically return to operational.
None.
None.
Either update the PNC001
configuration to indicate the SFP is
present, or physically remove the
extra SFP from the PNC001 port.
