3. Place the control module on a flat surface where it will be protected from
electrostatic charge.
Caution:
To avoid damage, do not place anything on top of the control module.
4. If you are replacing a failed control module, remove the compact flash or
micro SD card from the failed control module and install it in the replacement
control module. This will make sure that the new control module is running
the correct firmware.
For a Type 8 control module, see Replacing a Compact Flash Card on
page 3-16.
For a Type 9 control module, see Replacing a Micro SD Card on page 3-
18.
To install a replacement control module, or to reinstall a control module after you
have replaced the firmware card, see Installing a Control Module on page 3-13.
Do not operate an array with an empty control module slot.
