Select Cable - Suzuki Baleno Manual

SELECT CABLE

REMOVAL
1) Remove parking brake lever cover.
2) Remove console box.
3) Disconnect select cable from selector lever and then from floor
bracket.
4) Disconnect select cable from transmission.
5) Disconnect select cable from dash panel.
INSTALLATION
Install select cable by reversing removal procedure.
The important steps in installation are as follows.
D Apply grease to pin and cable joint.
"A": SEALING COMPOUND 366E (99000-31090)
D Tighten bolts and nut in upper figure to specified torque.
Tightening Torque
(a): 6.5 N·m (0.65 kg-m, 5.0 lb-ft)
(b): 13 N·m (1.3 kg-m, 9.5 lb-ft)
(c): 7 N·m (0.7 kg-m, 5.0 lb-ft)
(d): 18 N·m (1.8 kg-m, 13.0 lb-ft)
(e): 30 N·m (3.0 kg-m, 22.0 lb-ft)
D Adjusting procedure is as follows.

4. E ring (largest)
5. Cable bracket
6. Nut
7. Manual selector cable joint
8. Bush
9. Manual shift lever
10. Washer
11. E ring (small)
12. Transmission range sensor
"A": Apply water tight sealant
