1 INTRODUCTION

SIEMENS S120 is an inverter with special software for hydraulic systems, that controls the phase of travel in
upward direction and, with prearranged hydraulic power units, also the travel in downward direction. This
inverter is able to work both with old and new hydraulic power units.
The advantages are:

No starting current peaks. The maximum starting current is the rated current.

Power factor correction of absorbed current. Cosφ≥0.98.

Energy saving.

Run comfort optimization.

Adjustable inspection speed.

Possibility of setting a maximum limit for the absorbed power from the mains, to limit the
installed power.
