Point to be checked
Check the wiring for the peripheral circuits
of the RS232C IC (IC7303).
Check the status of communication with the
PC via the D-SUB 9-pin connector then the
signal line at the D-SUB 15-pin connector.
If any of the above cases is not applicable.
Point to be checked
Check the wiring for the peripheral circuits
of the USB IC (IC9502).
Check the V+5D voltage on the DECM Assy
side with the USBB Assy removed.
Check the V+3R3D_USB voltage.
Replace the USBB Assy with a
nondefective one and check the operation.
Point to be checked
Check the wiring for the SD connector (JA8201)
and the peripheral circuits of SD-IDE IC(IC8202).
Check the V+3R3D_1 voltage on the
DECM Assy side with the SDCB Assy
removed.
Check the V+1R8D and V+3R3D voltages.
Replace the SDCB Assy with a
nondefective one and check the operation.
Point to be checked
Exchange the SD card with another one
and try file playback.
Replace the SDCB Assy with a
nondefective one and check the operation.

Measures to be taken
Check the wiring on the communication line.
Eliminate any improper wiring by soldering.
If there is no problem in communication with the PC
via the D-SUB 9-pin connector, switch to communi-
cation via the D-SUB 15-pin then check the following
outputs from the RS232C IC (IC7303).
1 K7310(DTR), 2 K7311(RXD), 3 K7312(TXD)
If any of the waveforms is not detected, the RS232C
IC (IC7303) is defective. Replace the defective part
or the FLCB Assy.
Replace the parts in the following order and check
the operation.
1 FLCB Assy, 2 DECM Assy
Measures to be taken
Check the wiring on the communication line.
Eliminate any improper wiring by soldering.
There may be improper wiring or a defective part in
the power block. Improve the wiring or replace the
defective part of the power block.
There may be improper wiring or a defective part in
the power block. Improve the wiring or replace the
defective part of the power block.
If improved, use the nondefective USBB Assy.
If not improved, replace the DECM Assy.

defective part of the power block.
There may be improper wiring or a defective part in

If not improved, replace the DECM Assy.
Measures to be taken
If playback is possible with another card, the SD
card is defective. Use a nondefective card.
If the problem is cleared, use the nondefective SDCB
Assy. If it is not improved, replace the DECM Assy.
