Checking the Hydraulic
Fluid
No Parts Required
Procedure
The machine is shipped with hydraulic fluid in the
reservoir.
1. Check and ensure the reservoir has hydraulic
fluid.
2. If needed add Toro HYPR-OIL™ 500 hydraulic
fluid.
3. Run the machine for approximately 15 minutes
to allow any extra air to purge out of the hydraulic
system.
4. Wait until the machine cools before checking the
hydraulic fluid.
5. Tilt the hopper up.
6. Remove the hydraulic reservoir cap.
7. Wipe the dipstick clean and insert the cap back
into the hydro.
8. Lightly tighten the cap.
9. Remove the cap again and check the level of
the fluid on the dipstick
10. Check the hydraulic reservoir and if necessary
fill the reservoir to the appropriate level with Toro
HYPR-OIL™ 500 hydraulic fluid.

11. If the dipstick fluid level is at the Add mark, add
hydraulic fluid. Do not overfill.

12. Replace the hydraulic reservoir cap and tighten
until snug. Do not overtighten.

Grease
Parts needed for this procedure:
1 tube No. 2 lithium grease (Purchase separately.)
Procedure
Before you use the machine, check the machine for
grease; refer to Lubrication in the Operator's Manual.
