7 PAUSE key
Press this key to select the PAUSE mode.
There are two types of PAUSE mode, REC-PAUSE (recording-pause) mode and
FWD-PAUSE (playback-pause) mode.
In the REC-PAUSE mode, the input data is recorded at the instance of releasing the
pause operation.
In the FWD-PAUSE mode, the beginning of playback data is stored in FIFO memory,
so that the playback signal can be output at the same time as the pause operation is
released.
Note
When the ADDRESS counts are less than 2 seconds during the REC mode, the REC-
PAUSE mode may be not set up.
8 REC key
• Press this key alone to select the E-E mode.
In the E-E mode, the input signal is output from the recording system directly to the
playback system. This allows users to check the input signal level and set the input
range and input DC offset without transporting the tape.
• Press this key together with the FWD key to select the REC (recording) mode.
In the REC mode, the input signals are recorded onto the tape.
9 STOP key
Press this key to select the STOP mode.
In the STOP mode, all modes are stopped.
Note
• Recorded data is first stored in the FIFO memory of the recorder and then recorded
on the tape. Therefore, the tape may not stop until as much as 20 seconds after the
STOP key is pressed.
• The STOP key LED blinks from the time the STOP key is pressed until the tape
actually stops.
• Press the STOP key in FF or REW mode to stop the tape immediately.
0 FWD key
Press this key to select the FWD (playback) mode.
In the FWD mode, the data on the tape is played back.
!¡ FF key
Press this key to select the FF (fast-forward) mode.
In the FF mode, the tape is fed in the EOD direction at approximately 75 times the
normal speed.
When this key is pressed in the search mode, the next start ID is searched. When pressed
in the FWD mode, the tape skips to the start of the next ID number.
