Trigger Recording
Playback of the Pre-trigger Data
9-2
When the recorder is being set to the REC-PAUSE mode, the recorder starts to record
when the trigger signal is received from the trigger signal source, or the REC-PAUSE
mode is released by pressing the PAUSE key.
In the case of the pre-trigger mode (PTRG OFF/ON is ON), the pre-trigger time (the data
length before the trigger) is set to 3 seconds, 6 seconds, 12 seconds, 24 seconds or 48
seconds depending on the tape speeds. In the case of the normal trigger mode (PTRG OFF/
ON is OFF), the data immediately after the trigger is recorded, i.e. pre-trigger time is zero.
Note
If the REC mode is started form the REC-PAUSE mode in less than the pre-trigger time
(3 seconds at the normal speed, 6 seconds at 1/2 speed and so on), all the pre-trigger data
may not be recorded. The pre-trigger data start to be written to the FIFO memory when
the REC-PAUSE mode is executed. It takes the pre-trigger time to hold all the pre-trigger
data in the FIFO memory.
When the recorder is set to the FWD mode, the pre-trigger data is played back with the
ADDRESS "–00H00M00S".
