To record, playback, and store data in the best condition, be sure to keep the following
precautions.
!
CAUTION
• When turning off the recorder's main power, be sure to remove the cartridge before
setting the STAND BY switch to OFF. If the cartridge is left in the recorder with the main
power off for a long time, changes in the temperature and humidity may cause tape to
stretch or shrink, and condensation may cause it to stick to the tape transport system.
• The cartridge is designed so that it is difficult to touch the tape with your fingers, but be
sure to avoid touching the tape if you open the lid.
• Be sure to avoid any contact with terminals of the cartridge.
• Only the following cartridges can be used:
Model
SDX1-25C (with MIC)
SDX-T3C (with MIC)
SDX-T3N (without MIC)
Using cartridges with MIC is recommended, as data can be accessed more quickly using
the TOC data stored in the MIC.
