C020 : PINCH ROLLER
This submenu checks the function of a pinch roller solenoid.
Checking
(1) Press the SET button once.
. Check a click sound when the pinch roller solenoid is activated.

A pinch lever comes near the capstan.
(2) Press the MENU button once to exit the submenu.

The solenoid is deactivated because its driving voltage is cut off.
(3) To finish the check, slightly push the pinch lever toward the pinch roller sole-
noid to return a iron core of the pinch roller solenoid to the former position with
a finger.
n
When rechecking without returning the iron core to the former position, the
click sound is not generated even if the pinch roller solenoid is activated.
In case of NG
. Check the mechanical abnormality.
. Check the pinch roller solenoid driver circuit on the DR-315 board.
. Check the pinch roller solenoid itself.
