Check the foam pressure roller in front of the CLSC for correct
positioning (refer to the documentation "Colour Letter Scanner
CLSC3000, Maintenance Instructions").
Check the image quality by recording a scanner test card.
Record and inspect a grey image of a test card to check the signal flow
from the scanner to the IDH (refer to the documentation "Colour Letter
Scanner CLSC3000, Maintenance Instructions").
Note!
Alternatively, the Scanner Service Tool (SST) can be used to record a
scanner test card and also to inspect its uncompressed grey image.
Refer to the documentation "Scanner Service Tool SST, SW User
Manual".
Setting the scanner parameters via software
Scanner parameter settings should only be refined, if the image shows one or
several of the following effects:
Elliptic distortion of circles
−
Horizontal resolution is out of tolerance
−
The leading and trailing edges of the mail piece are not completely
−
visible in the image
Check the nominal scanner parameter values in the WebUI_CCS:
In case of deviations, adjust the values to the machine-specific values
accordingly.

Nominal transport speed

Light barrier distance
