WARNING:
Danger of injury! A damaged appliance must never be
used. Check the vacuum cleaner and the power cord
each time before using it.
ATTENTION:
Only use the cylinder vacuum cleaner when all filters are
intact, dry and correctly fitted. Make sure that no open-
ings are clogged. Otherwise the vacuum cleaner might
be damaged.
ATTENTION:
Check the requirements of your floorings before using
the vacuum cleaner. Follow the recommendations of the
flooring manufacturers.
1. Attach the desired nozzle
Chapter 2.3, "Using further nozzles (accessories)".
2. Pull out the power cord until the yellow marking is visible
(Fig. 13/1).
WARNING:
Danger of electric shock! If the red marking shows
(Fig. 13/2) retract the cord by pressing the retract button
to pull in the cable (Fig. 14/2) up to the yellow mark
again. Otherwise the cable can break off.
3. Insert the mains plug into a socket with ground/safety

contact.
4. Switch on the cylinder vacuum cleaner with the on/off
switch (Fig. 14/1). The green indicator light is on.
5. Set the nozzle switch to "carpet" or "hard floor" accord-
ing to the floor (Fig. 15) to be cleaned:
- Hard floor (Fig. 15/a)
Parquet, laminate, tiles, PVC, etc.
- Carpet (Fig. 15/b)
Short- and deep-pile carpets, rugs, etc.
6. When working with the vacuum cleaner, pull if after you
like a sleigh. .
NOTE:
With the bypass vent (Fig. 16) you can quickly reduce
suction power if less suction is needed, e.g. to release
objects accidentally sucked in.
